Taking the best bits of soul, funk, reggae and blues the band create an old-school sound that somehow remains fresh and a sensational live show that is guaranteed to get you moving. Aged 20, Sam Evans has performed 100’s of gigs and has found a band who share his passion for making music for peoples wellbeing.
Their music is a blend reggae, funk & blues and is tuned to the frequency 432hz. The band has been growing organically, and now their soulful harmonies and serious groove all tied together with Sam’s message of harmony and awakening has been captured on their forthcoming EP ‘Awake’.
The band takes form in various shapes and sizes allowing them to cater for any mood and environment; from intimate acoustic sessions to electric festival performances The Sam Evans Band can adapt to any situation and give their all. At full strength the band consists of eight musicians, with backing vocals, saxophones, guitars, percussion drums and anything else they can get their hands on. However one of the most important things is that, alongside the two incredible girls, everybody in the band sings. Eight people singing in unison is a powerful experience and adds something special to the live show

I caught Sam supporting Joe Driscoll & Sekou Kouyate at the Thekla in Bristol. He has a great voice so I booked him as an acoustic performer for Floating Lotus, and he managed to talk me into letting him bring the band too for a gig in Crazy Calamities too.
