James will be the surprise headline act at this year’s Festival No. 6 taking place in Portmeirion, Wales which will be returning for a fourth year in 2015 from Thursday 3rd until Sunday 6th September.
Following critical acclaim for last year’s La Petite Mort album, the Mancunians will co-headline on the Sunday night. The band has been on the road entertaining huge crowds with sets blending classic hits and more contemporary material from their impressive back catalogue.
Joining already confirmed headliners Metronomy, Grace Jones and Belle & Sebastian. Other confirmed acts include Catfish & The Bottlemen, Everything Everything, James Bay,Young Fathers, and Kate Tempest. Mark Ronson will be delivering a huge party DJ set, with British Sea Power, Years & Years and Haelos recently added.
Gaz Coombes, Edwyn Collins, Jane Weaver and Rae Morris have also been added to the Town Hall Sessions in the beautiful surroundings of the historic Portmeirion Town Hall.
Other new No.6 addictions include Arthur Baker headlining the Virgin Village Limits stage
The Castell Gardens – has also revealed its bill featuring Bugged Out! with Justin Robertson, James Holroyd and Rob Bright, a celebration of 20 years of the Electric Chair and Bill Brewster and co serving up one of the very last Low Life parties.
Festival No.6 is an intimate, bespoke banquet of music, arts and culture taking place over the weekend of the 3-6 September in the magical village of Portmeirion, Wales, home of the cult TV series The Prisoner. The festival takes places 3 – 6 September 2015
