The Mancunian quartet have confirmed that Peace, Bipolar Sunshine and Blossoms will be joining the line-up for this summer’s outdoor gig. Tickets for the event sold in in less than an hour when they went on sale in November. Courteeners are the first band to headline Heaton Park since the Stone Roses played there in 2012.

The band’s new single ‘Has He Told You That He Loves You Yet?’ is released on May 18th and comes ahead of a mammoth summer of live activity that includes slots at Isle Of Wight Festival (11th – 14th June), T In The Park (11th July), V Festival (22nd – 23rd August) and Ibiza Rocks (16th September). The band’s fourth album – Concrete Love – is out now on PIAS.
