Coldplay have confirmed a tour for June 2016
Saturday, June 4 – Etihad Stadium, Manchester
Tuesday, June 7 – Hampden Park, Glasgow
Thursday, June 16 – Wembley Stadium, London
Saturday, June 18 – Wembley Stadium, London
The global release of their seventh album, A Head Full Of Dreams, will be on Friday, December 4 via Parlophone Records. It is preceded by the single, Adventure Of A Lifetime
Coldplay’s Chris Martin: “I think that not going on tour with Ghost Stories was one of the best decisions we ever made, because it gave us such pent-up energy in the studio and completely reignited everyone’s desire to go around the world and play music. A Head Full Of Dreams was written as a record to be performed live. We can’t wait to do that.”
Coldplay – comprising Guy Berryman, Jonny Buckland, Will Champion and Chris Martin – have sold more than 50 million records worldwide and won numerous awards, including eight Brit Awards, seven Grammy Awards, and five MTV Video Music Awards.
There will be an exclusive UK ticket pre-sale at 9.30am GMT on Thursday, November 26 for anyone who pre-orders (or has already pre-ordered) the A Head Full Of Dreams album
Tickets for the UK/European shows go on general sale on Friday, November 27 at 9.30am
Glastonbury Festival also looks to be on plans for the band. The festival is due to take place on Wednesday 22nd to Sunday 26th June 2016 at Worthy Farm, Pilton in Somerset. The festival has sold out, but unwanted tickets will be resold in April 2016.
