6Music Festival 2015 Announcement

Following the success of last year’s inaugural BBC Radio 6 Music Festival at The Victoria Warehouse in Manchester, the event will return taking place at Tyneside at Newcastle University, Academy, and The Sage, in Newcastle upon Tyne on Friday 20th Feb until Sunday 22nd Feb 2015.

Featuring an ever-growing bill of over 50 bands and artists, with three days of live music and conversation, reflecting the spirit of 6 Music.

These will take place across several venues, both day and night.

Details of the 6 Music Festival by Day and 6 Music Festival Late events will be announced in the coming days.

Tickets for each night of the festival will go on sale at 10am across three consecutive days, starting this Friday, 30 January.


 

6 Music Festival by Night consists of Friday night at the 02 Academy Newcastle and Saturday and Sunday night at the Sage, Gateshead.

With over 40 artists across six stages over three nights, the events bring together an impressive line-up of established acts and emerging artists who represent the very best alternative music of the moment.

There will be a 6 Music Festival by Day (which will be ticketed separately to the night-time events) in venues in The Ouseburn and Stephenson Quarter areas of the city, on Saturday 21 and Sunday 22 February, 11am-6pm.
