Both bands have been among the bookmakers favourites for a headline slot on the Pyramid Stage next year. But Michael Eavis, the festival organiser and farmer has ruled out the possibility of both Queen and Fleetwood Mac.
In a new interview with Music Week, Eavis says neither act will appear, with Fleetwood Mac said to be unavailable.
“Queen? Not Queen, no. Fleetwood Mac don’t seem to be available at the moment. But we’ve got three excellent headliners for next year.”
Eavis does go on to reveal that one of the bands booked to play the festival has “been around for a long time” and that the headliners will not be revealed until the 1st April next year.
Earlier this week Worthy View, Glastonbury’s pre-erected campsite sold out. A resale of unwanted tickets as well as extras such as car parking passes, Tipis and any pre-erected tents/accommodation still available will go on sale in April.
